I thrive on challenges. Pushing boundaries is the only way to grow. My journey spans across diverse fields, from design to AI, and each step has taught me lessons that no classroom ever could. As Oscar Wilde famously said, “Experience is the name every one gives to their mistakes” and I’ve embraced this mantra by venturing into uncharted territories, making mistakes, and learning from them. Just like my childhood passions—zoology, astronomy, sports—I believe that diversity of experience is the cornerstone of creativity and growth. For leaders, it’s not about being T-shaped but pyramid-shaped—deep expertise, supported by a broad foundation of knowledge.

Redefining Success

Success is deeply personal and impossible to define universally. For me, it’s about creating a working environment where people feel valued, motivated, and empowered. I want my team to earn more than average, enjoy their work, and thrive without my constant supervision. This isn’t about chasing titles, awards, or millions—it’s about building something sustainable, where individuals take ownership and pride in their contributions. My greatest reward is seeing projects flourish under the guidance of capable, independent teams. Success, to me, is balance—a thriving ecosystem that runs smoothly, even when I step away.

In business and life, respect is my guiding principle. I believe in honesty, transparency, and long-term relationships over short-term gains. While being straightforward may have cost me opportunities, it has preserved my integrity, which I value above all else. Excellence is non-negotiable, even at the cost of profit margins, because I’m here for the long run—not the quick wins.

Balancing Governance and Innovation

Navigating the intersection of governance and innovation is one of the greatest challenges of our time, especially in AI. I prioritize safety, accessibility, and responsibility over flashy, risky features. The future of work is being shaped by AI, and I’m excited to embrace the opportunities while ensuring we innovate thoughtfully. If there’s one certainty, it’s that new challenges will arise, and I’m ready to face them.

Collaboration as the Core of Success

Teamwork is everything. I trust the expertise of those I work with and give them the freedom to chart their own paths toward shared goals. My role is to define the destination, but how we get there is a collaborative effort. I care more about attitude than existing skills—because skills can be taught, but the right mindset is invaluable.

Teaching Through Design

I believe everything is design. Whether it’s crafting a product, building a relationship, or mentoring a team, the principles of design apply. It’s about creating environments where creativity thrives and projects succeed. Teaching and mentoring are not about imposing my views but collaborating to discover shared solutions. Everyone has something to teach, and I remain open to learning from those around me.

Curiosity as a Compass

Curiosity drives me. Mastery in one area allows me to focus on new challenges and elevate the bar for myself. Routine is stifling; I seek tension and ambition in every project. The discomfort of the unknown is where growth and innovation happen, and I embrace it wholeheartedly.

Aiming for the Stars

My legacy is simple: I want to build good products, create happy workplaces, and live a meaningful life. I don’t aim to change the world, but I hope to improve it. I love the quote, “If you aim for the moon and miss, you’ll still land among the stars.” My projects are ambitious, driven by the belief that striving for greatness—no matter the outcome—leaves an undeniable impact.
This is who I am: someone passionate about learning, respectful of others, committed to excellence, and unafraid of challenges. While I may not change the world, I’ll give my best to leave it better than I found it.

Politecnico di MilanoSince 2019 · Teaching fellow

Researcher for Italy’s first study on generative AI in additive manufacturing (2019, Polifactory), a project funded by the EU and recognized with multiple awards. Since 2020, I’ve been a Teaching Fellow, lecturing on design fundamentals in “Visual Design Elements” at Polimi, the world’s largest design university and ranked among the global top 10.

Volunteering

Volunteer firefighterSince 2015

As a dedicated volunteer firefighter, I’ve led rescue operations, served as a foreman, and participated in hundreds of emergency missions. I’m also a certified professional rescue truck driver, and rescue motorboat driver, bringing precision and leadership to every situation.
